Morning and hoping you have not such a manic Monday. This was brought to my attention by Tony Wearelegend and it makes interesting reading. Over here in the UK many honoured Remembrance Day like Rick Holmess seminal Remember To Remember for the major loss of life during the Man of war as sung by The Jackson on CBS episodes throughout the 20th and 21st century. Being born in the UK of Jamaican parents who were not here during those turbulent times, unlike many I do not have the same connection as those whose family died to preserve the way we live but understand as a human the sadness and did spare some thoughts on my own and with few people in conversation yesterday. Seeing this photo earlier does beg a question though as many people have commented on discovering this previously buried treasure truth recently, about the origins of the USAs equivalent ..Memorial Day. On a much larger scale how many of us universally of all ethnic origins are aware of this fact because it certainly wasnt taught in the UK or USA world history books? Sadly these soldiers and plenty African Americans descendants can identify like MJ sang They Dont Really Care About Us.. Just sharing some Fitzstory with yall!!
