Let him send for the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord; the prayer offered in faith will heal the sick man, the Lord will restore him to health, and if he has committed sins they will be forgiven. ” James 5:14-15 REB. “When someone we love is sick, we want to do something. We feel powerless, so we make casseroles. We send cards. We offer to clean house, do laundry, or drive the kids to school. These are all excellent examples of living out our faith. Sometimes, in the middle of doing so many good things, we forget to do the most important, most powerful thing.” “Praying isnt the least we can do for the sick. It is the most we can do. Did you hear what James said? The prayer offered in faith will heal the sick man. God always heals His sick children, whether here on earth, or by taking them home to heaven, were sickness will be a thing of the past.
