Morning devotion 8th July 2013. Topic: Struggle for nothing under d sun. Text: "What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?" (Ecclesiastes 1:3). Life is full of struggles. Pple struggling for land, office, jobs, house, material things etc. Struggle is a forceful or violent effort to get free of restraint or resist attack. Which means that only one thing cannot struggle alone, sm1/sth must be engaged with another for struggle 2 take place. And its a forceful or violent effect. Most pple are poisoned, others are wounded in d process of forcefully acquiring material things. The funniest of all is that, one day pple leave those things they hav struggled for and die, leaving the earth with nothing. What a waste of energy & time. Frm our text, d wisest & richest man that ever lived on earth asked a question saying, "what profit has a man of all his labour under d sun?". This is a question u hav 2 ask urself, after struggling, fighting, killing pple 2 get possession on earth, wats ur gain?. N/B Most of d things we struggle for here on earth are things without eternal value. Some hav died dragging land & d land is still there. Most times devil uses material things as a bait 2 take us away from d planet, earth. Prayer: Lord, give me d grace 2 focus more on things with eternal value in d precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
