Morning in the studio. i used to be a night studio painter.. now i am an early studio painter.. the morning light and quiet gets me focused and my natural state of melancholy is at bay. Optimism and Atmosphere.. and melancholy. sometimes i miss my years of night painting.. do you think time of day in the studio affects your work? do you have a preferred time and frame of mind for art making? or does the studio naturally get you in the right space to create? i think this true for me... just having a studio space centers me.. my first half hour (at least) is staring at the paintings.. trying to make sense of where i am at and then starting..i often leave the studio at the end of the day with some situations in the painting that i then tackle in the morning..if that makes sense.. oh and COFFEE!!!
