Morning, morning, morning! Here is a great new review from Claire Woods Westlake for #SuperDuck #piano app - thank you Claire, you are very kind! I have finally found the perfect way to introduce jazz and improvisation to my students! Super Duck App is a super fun, super easy, step-by-step approach that teaches you how to play “Super Duck”, the first piece in Higgledy Piggledy Jazz” by Elena Cobb. Students are taught how to play “Super Duck”, one measure at a time. The piece is broken down into several sections: Part A, Part B, the beginning, the ending, the bridge, and so on. Each section is demonstrated after which the student practices, then plays along on the piano with the iPad. This app has the ability to record so students can play back and listen to see how they are progressing. When a student masters all of the sections, they are then able to play the whole score along with a jazz band. They are also introduced to the 12 bar blues and improvising using the blues scale. This is so much fun! I can hardly wait to try this app in my studio! ~Claire Westlake, USA
