Morning post - Day 127 Stone didnt rest a lot last night. A Lot of things have to go right for that to happen and we just couldnt quite get there last night. However, when I left Stone with Amy at 7:00 am he had a big smile on his face and seemed ready to go. I came to the hotel to take a shower and regroup for a minute. We talked the rehab department into leaving the bike with us so as soon as we can get his bath and weight and dressed we will be riding down the hall. Stone has always been very picky about what he wears and its no different in the hospital. Every morning Amy lays out cloths and he picks what he wants to wear. He will let you know without any doubt if theres not one in the mix that fits the need for that given day . No different than home. Lots of things with him are no different than home and when we see that come out we give special thanks for it. If you had to break Stones recovery into two parts they would be first we had to save his life then we had to see if the same Stone that we know was here . I guess both of those questions have been answered . Dr Winkler in Birmingham would only say through out our stay at Childrens of Alabama, I see nothing that tells me that Stone cant fully recover She didnt say that he was going to. She just said he could. I send her pictures from time to time and remember a lot of the things she and the other doctors that made it into our circle of trust have said along the way. Today, as many days before, I give thanks to God first and then to you all. For all of you that have never been to our home, it sits high atop a ridge looking down into the Tennessee Tombigbee Valley and looking into Mississippi due west. At home, looking up, you would think there was nothing between you and God. Ive stood there many nights thanking God for a lot of things . These thanks will be different upon our arrival back on that ridge. Enough talk. Much work to be done. Train rolls on east bound .
