Morning started about 6:45. Hubby slept in my office last night and Halo slept with him. She was hungry up until delivery. She had the first baby around 8 a.m. And a stillborn underdeveloped baby around 8:15. The second viable kitten was born around 8:30. But the placenta didnt come out and the first baby wouldnt nurse. Two calls to the vet werent much help. They said to stimulate her nipples but i couldnt express milk. With that second placenta not being delivered, i left a message on my vets cell. No call back. So I called the ER facility where we had taken Halo. The vet was wonderful. She helped my husband and i deliver the placenta. I had tried to bottle feed the first baby and he was getting the hang of that. But the ER vet said to let them alone for an hour. To see if there are more babies and to see if theyll nurse. Its hard waiting. So please keep the prayers coming.
