Morning thought: Purpose. I was thinking last night and this morning about how we all know that our true purpose here in life is to help each other. I heard a wise man say once that each individual has to find their Way of doing this while involved in this mystery that we call life and that the way that you realize this is quite simple. The way to realize what your purpose is, is to question this: what is the one thing that you do that you cant help but have a passion and internally excitement for, no matter what the outcome is? I know for myself it has always been music. I need it to survive my spiritual life. I need to eat, sleep and breath it. No matter if people listen to or like what I create, I just have to do it. It consumes me constantly. If Im not creating it, Im listening to the creations of others who feel the same as I do...Id like to believe. I heard of an encounter with Mother Theresa once that was very moving to me. This individual was quite well off and had many connections in the world of media. He had asked her what he could do to help her cause. Donate money, broadcast an interview with her over thousands of stations and etc. She had responded that she was just their to help the homeless and that all was fine. Well, this man was relentless and finally she said their is one thing that you can actually do for me. Anything said the man. She replied with this profound answer: I want you to wake up tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. and go out in the world and find someone that feels like they are alone and I want you to CONVINCE them that they are not. Pondering this story I realized that my way in this mystery is through music. I truly believe that this is the way that I will find the person(s) that feels alone at 4 a.m. Just a thought.
