Moses Golola (UGANDA, Blue Corner) 125-149 Richard Abraham (USA, Red Corner) Judge 1: Moses Golola 35-50 Richard Abraham Judge 2: Moses Golola 47-49 Richard Abraham Judge 3: Moses Golola 45-50 Richard Abraham Ugandas Moses Golola unanimously lost to American kick boxer, Richard Abraham 35-50, 47-49 and 45-50 during the inter-continental fight held at Speke Resort, Munyonyo in the wee hours of Sunday morning. This inter-continental kick-boxing low kick fight could be simply tagged a complete no - match as it turned out to be a one sided affair from start to finish. Seldom do the fans call for the premature end of a fight - in the name of saving face for their fighter. The partisan Ugandan crowd did, twice calling for referee, Charles Wandera Mugoya to cease play - lest their fighter was Killed in the ring. The experienced American, coming into the fight with an enviable 35 victories in the 46 fights fought, threw every punch and kick to the motor razed Ugandan. Technically gifted, Abrahams supremacy was witnessed through his excellent guarding of the body and attacking expertise with well timed kicks and punches. At one moment in the second round, Golola was punched hard as he staggered onto the ring ropes and he nearly fell out. For the rest of the fight, Golola kissed the canvas not twice but thrice in each round and could only manage to punch Abrahams face twice in the last round. Prior to this fight, he had vowed to kill Abraham in the ring and bury him as he carried a coffin in the pre-fight press conference at Centenary park. Gololas intended plans instead meant he required the coffin for his personal use as the American amassed 149 total points from the three judges compared to Gololas 125. By the ending signal of the final round, all the people at Munyonyo including Golola himself, were all awaiting for confirmation of Abrahams victory. Indeed it was, as all the judges concurred that the red corner [Richard Abrahams] scored 149-125, as he celebrated around the ring. I was prepared for the fight and it showed by my all out aggressiveness, Abraham told Kawowo Sports. Golola, in his typical comedian style promised a come back in a planned re-match. Many will say Golola has been beaten but this guy might have won but he has not beaten Golola, he said, as the fans trekked home, many in agony, some debating the seriousness of the loose mouthed Ugandan. The fight was sanctioned by Uganda Kick Boxing Federation. Source: Kawowo
