The reason I am a dedicated to being Social Activist the many children I see in primary and Secondary school without school shoes, adequate books, bags, or even lunch or Money for lunch. The working Mothers who works as school wards, shop or store attendants who are making $135.00 per week while having to pay house rent, light bill, water bill, gas, buy food and still have to send there children to school, it bring tears to My eyes many times. The dedicated Fathers who are working security job who after collecting their pay they still cant afford 3 meals per day or pay the bills. The lady who works at Waste control trying to send her kids to school but because she has 3 kids she find it very challenging, some people may ask then why did she have 3 children but having the 3 children is not where the problem lies, it lies in the fact that she is being a productive citizen but because of the constant increase in cost of living and the stagnant wage she is making she cant afford to do her best. If only we would have people elected in office who would actually care about those who are suffering even when they are they are trying there best to be a productive citizen. I visited a school yesterday the principal ask me if its possible for the organization I am with to try and solicit footwear for needy children, she game me an example of a young child who went to school Monday morning not having a shoe, she was ashamed to stand in the line so she hide behind the snack shop until the National anthem was finished because she was ashamed. We can fix all this by simply allocating some of the oil revenue to children who are facing these unnecessary circumstances, where is the revenue from the Gold? what ids the benefit from tourism and all these other sectors? We need to take the issues of making sure our children are afforded an education regardless Parents Financial condition Government should subsidize the cost of education at the primary level and give assistance to needy children.
