Most Artists keep asking me how one can become an established artist. So here is my thoughts. 1) Do you have a facebook fanpage? Most artist rely on their Facebook user account the has a limit of 3,000-5,000 friends but a like page is limitless and the earlier you get one the quicker it is to build a fan base. 2) submit your single to 700 blogs in Nigeria. I can personally do that for you. Blogs can make your site go viral in a little time. 3) Submit your single to all your states Radio station. Package it very well with your social media handles. And make it mp3 converted. Radio stations have lots of programmes that creates avenue for upcoming acts. Fortunately you can win. 4) Do a facebook advert. 2,000 worth of advert can give you Five thousands fans like on facebook. 1,000 naira can get you up to 2000 downloads on facebook alone. Most artist complain of not getting enough downloads but with just 2k a month they can get up to 7,000 downloads. 5) Dont be in a hurry to release singles frequently. Concentrate on a particular single and promote it vigoriously. It is not the quantity that Matters but the exposure a particular single gets 6) Be friends to Djs. They are your backbone. 7) Offer to sing in shows for FREE. 8) Sing Good songs. Dont start by single, I don blow, we pop rosay and henessy like water and all the girls want to ride in my buggati when you dont have shit. people will know and will dislike you for that. 9) Use money to promote yourself. Dont always go for FREE FREE ride. Kcee sold his car to raise money to promote his single kukere. 10) Dont release an album yet. It will crash.
