Most Nigerian men prefer the lighter women because they are more attractive but where does that leave the naturally dark ones? So says 36ng an online mag and I wonder where they got this nonsense from. How many Nigerian men did they survey to find out if they actually prefer light-skinned women over dark hued ones? Once again ignorance rears its ugly head - and on many levels too if we consider that men in general have their preferences alright but not to the extent the column is suggesting. Personally, I believe that all shades are not only beautiful but necessary to create diversity and just as the Europeans have blondes, brunettes and red-heads, so do Africans have different hues. Sadly a good percentage of Africans suffer from inferiority complex brought about by slavery, colonialism and then racism but this is no excuse. I love all women of all races, shades and sizes because they are special creatures but given a choice, I would never choose a woman for the complexion of her skin but for her innermost qualities.
