Most bands first gig is a small bar, support slot or even an open mic night.....not The Spellkasters! They did everything backwards! Pete and Romek first jammed in January 2013, being local to each other after Pete moved to South Wales....BJ, the other ex Pirate got wind of it and came over to Wales for a dinner and some wine, the same year in March. In April 2013, Pete and Romek were summoned to Sweden to record an album in BJs studio, where The Pirates recorded. The album, Kastin The Spell, was recorded in five days at the end of June 2013, and Angel Air Records, The Pirates former label offered to release it worldwide after having a listen. Pete was then very kindly offered a live TV shoot at Glyndwr CMT in North Wales, by an old friend, for October 23rd 2013. BJ flew in from from Sweden a couple of days before and THREE HOURS were spent in a South Wales rehearsal studio on October 22nd. Next day, they drove up to North Wales, had a half hour soundcheck, for levels and camera angles, then did it!! The Spellkasters very first live performance!!! A TV session!!!
