Most black South Africans are concerned/worried that Nigeria has surpassed us (South Africa) as the leading economy on the continent. This is not important, what is important is that even when SA was the biggest economy on the continent, millions of black people were still living poverty (and still are). Today Nigeria is the leading economic powerhouse on the continent, but millions of Nigerians are still living in poverty. China overtook Japan in terms of economic prowess, but most people would choose Tokyo over Beijing any day, but this is not important. >Whats important to consider is that millions of Africans are poor, whether or not SA or Nigeria is leading economically.
