Most camera lenses today have close focus or macro focusing - TopicsExpress

Most camera lenses today have close focus or macro focusing capabilities. The lens will tell you this in the manual or on the barrel. This is true of most point-and-shoot cameras also. Having a wider range of magnification will mean carrying less lenses. Long lenses with close focus capability will allow you to photograph that belly flower without having to get don on the ground, and will also give more depth of field (three-dimensionality) to your image. Having to get down right on the subject with a macro lens generally will give you little or no depth of field in the photograph. Question of the day: How many lenses do you have? What are they? Which is your favorite lens to use? BG
