Most do not know or understand their need of salvation, because the Church has convinced them that because God loves them, they have nothing to fear when they die! Our job is to convince them that they have been misled, and are in fact going to Hell and that they need to repent! There is no harder job in the world than to convince someone they are in big trouble with a holy God, when false teachers in the Church have convinced them otherwise. But it is necessary, for by the fear of the Lord, men depart from evil! Convince people that it is a fearfull thing to fall in to the hands of our living, holy God! Convince them that God is angry with the wicked everyday, that God hates all workers of iniquity, that they are enemies of God in their minds through their their wicked works and love of the things in this world, and that they are by nature deserving of Gods just and holy wrath! Convince them of their need for repentance and faith in Christ, for most often people will not seek after a Saviour they dont understand they need. Convince them of their need, that they may be convicted of the Holy Spirit, and so be saved when they hear you speak what God has done for them, so they may escape Gods wrath against sin, and be brought into a right relationship with Him who shed His blood and died to save them, so they could live forever with Him in Heaven! -Dennis Mellenberger-
