Most dogs dread the shelter and abhor any time spent there. Twelve-year-old Mindy may be the exception to the rule. She was happily living a sedate life with her senior human when her keeper became ill and Mindy landed in the Brooklyn shelter. This may be as much excitement as the old girl’s seen in many moons. She’s remarkably sociable and alert and cherishes any moment of attention that comes her way. Sure she suffers from fading eyesight & some issues with her teeth but she moves beautifully and her essential organs appear to be in good shape. Mindy’s only known goodness in her lifetime so she has no inkling that the Brooklyn ACC staff plans to kill her tomorrow. Mindy may well have years of health in front of her if given the chance. Please gather with the others who will share her plight tonight in an effort to spare her life tomorrow. #NOKILLNYC RT
