Most know I climb the Hilton (55 Stories) on occasion. Well one night, as I was climbing, I was thinking that at each flight is another door. They all have the same dimensions, the same weight, the same type of hinges, the same type of door handles, the same color, the same way of opening and closing, the same building material, the same designer. ` Yet, these doors also have differences. They enter a completely different hallway to different rooms. They have various scratches - no two the same. They have smudge marks - no two the same. Some have minor dents. Some have major dents. Each one says its own floor number on the door. Even the paint job - upon closer inspection is not identical - the brush strokes show different textural patterns - extremely similar but different nonetheless. ` Is not the children of God like these doors? There is equality in the Spiritual dimension of our lives before the Lord. Christ carries the weight of our sin equally. Our daily worship hinges on spirit and truth! We are to handle things with the heavenly wisdom that comes from God. We express the color of love! We open and close our day with the Lord! And we formed the same way - in His image! ` Yet we are different too - The rooms of our life experiences are different. Many have battle scars ( dents, scratches and smudges) that others do not have. The number of our days here on earth are different but in the kingdom, the same! We are different in many ways. The stroke of Gods brush on our lives leaves us all with varying gifts! As mush as our differences separate us, they also bring unity, for we are of the same designer! Let us therefore encourage one another! Let us not say, “I do not need you”. Let us come together under the one same Spirit of Christ - the Risen Saviour! Let us lift one another up in prayer! ` Unity in Christ outweighs differences in ourselves. Our differences, when used for the glory of God, in the end, are what makes us the same of that one Spirit, under Him! Be Blessed! Stay Blessed! Be a Blessing! Bless the Lord! In His Love and Service, Jody Midgley`
