Most live hip hop sucks so bad its unreal. Most of the time all youll ever see and hear is rappers rapping over their own recorded vocals while the DJ spins their actual song instead of the instrumental itself. Live hip hop can basically be labeled as karaoke to an extent. But most of what we hear nowadays is mere sing-alongs. It kinda defeats the purpose of labeling it as a performance. The most recorded vocals your live tracks should consist of are dub overs (Ad libs) on the verses and maybe some hook vocals. And if possible, get a band and some hype men to back up your vocals for ya. Mic control take some serious practice. Even Im not very good at it yet because Ive only done two live performances (and my sound quality and mic control were both not very good lol.) But God is good. And He gets all the Glory. My skills belong to Him. He will always provide a way.
