Most of NC citizens are represented in this gathering of the people, standing against a distinct minority whose message of hate and denial of civil rights fails to resonate with the voters of NC. Since that message fails, the only tactic left to them is to restrict the vote and try to silence the majority. I ask my brother and sister veterans who hold dear to the Constitution and the ideals of democracy to which we swore our lives to protect and defend...to merely do this. Let your representatives know that the approach to restricting voting is WRONG. We are the true Patriots of this land, not those who would restrict liberty! And we have been silent for too long. Used as a backdrop too often. Used for political purpose and then dropped like a live grenade unacceptably. We may disagree on the political party. There can be no argument that restriction of liberty is an affront to all.
