Most of masters and Grand Masters here in U.S.A., Koreans or Americans, got their Dan without long term training with a MASTER of hes own. I can not conceiver that the masters and grand masters are well equipped with some kind of certificates but, in reality of getting the knowledge in Martial Art philosophy are very limits on books and information s rather then of the OWN EXPERIENCES. Once they got the black belt, they are totally independent or partially without full way of training and none of transformed wisdom by lack of personnel contact with a MASTER OR GRAND MASTER WHO IS WELL COMPETITIVE AND WIDELY KNOW. Some masters of Taekwon-Do, they take promotion test only based of what do they know of some TULS and it is not based of REAL TAEKWON-DO SPIRIT. Any masters or Grand Masters are very much exposed to the Taekwon-Do society and you can run from the true but, will never hide from nobody. This is not to attack to any particular masters or grand masters and it reflect only my POINT OF VIEW BASED OF MY OWN EXPERIENCES OF OVER 40 YEARS IN USA SINCE 1968. DO.
