Most of the headlines out of the Dubai Airshow today are focused on the billions of dollars in orders placed by the Big 3 Gulf carriers on Boeing and Airbus planes. The numbers are big but the news really isnt so much IMO. Much more intriguing to me is some branding and partnership news in Europe. Etihad Airways had picked up another partner (pending govt approval) and this time they mean to really take over. The new operation will be call Etihad Regional and will offer connectivity not only to Etihad destinations but also to other other equity partners Air Serbia and airberlin.
