Most of the healings that take place in so called "healing" - TopicsExpress

Most of the healings that take place in so called "healing" services are found over time to have been psychological or emotional. If they are followed through medically they are shown not to be healings at all. Paul towards the end of his ministry was not able to heal his close friend who he had to leave behind in Troy. Miracles are rare, but they occur; it is important however to be skeptical or the Lord’s name and the faith will be held in disrespect by the unbeliever who will see through false miracles easily! Paul also used the healing ministry to present the gospel. He did not heal for healings sake, but worked miracles whenever the Lord opened the door. He also saw a vision of heaven which he was told not to speak about and he kept silent on what he saw. Paul was not into drama, he was into obedience to the Holy Spirit and the Word; so must we be! The Word of God is all important, not the signs and miracles; where they are bone fide they will always lead to evangelism and to people studying the Word and growing through obedience to it. The filling of the Holy Spirit is all important, and the evidence of that is the fruit of holiness in the life.
