Most of these I couldn’t care less about, but I have to agree that both “curate” and “-nation” have got to be stopped. “Curate” for the obvious reason that making a list of something should not have to be ennobled by suggesting that the list maker is a curator. Curators work for museums, they don’t collect lists and post them to their blogs. As for “-nation,” ugh. The Red Sox were the first team whose fans I heard calling themselves this. Going to a game at Camden Yards and seeing a bunch of morons welcoming you to “Fenway South” should be enough to make one want to throw up at the suffix “-nation” being added to any sports team ever again, period. Don’t do it, it only encourages the rabble to think they’re something more than a rabble…
