Most of us do not have the same natural abilities Albert Einstein had or Usain Bolt has, but we absolutely do have the same spiritual abilities as Jesus! The “...same Spirit who raised Him from the dead...” dwells within us! When Jesus said “...he who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also...”, I am confident He was not primarily expecting all of us to go out and raise the dead or cleanse the lepers. Instead, He was expecting us to be “...one...” with Him and with one another just as He was one with His Father. In fact, He said, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me...” (John 17:20-23). The greatest changes in the world around us will come about when we become “...one...” with the Christ and with one another. Jesus Himself said this will cause us to “...be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me...”! We are simply afraid the task is impossible but with God all things are possible! What are we waiting for?...
