Most of us eagerly wait and hope in expectation for our future home in heaven. Were we there now we would never willingly want to return to this earth with all its trouble and care brought on by sin. Christ however, willingly left his heavenly home where he enjoyed the love of his Father and the worship of the angels, committing himself to the merciless hands of this world. He did this for you and me, so we could live with him, and enjoy the blessings he himself shared with his Father. Now, because of what Jesus did at the cross, we too can call God our Father, as we await our future glory and blessings, made possible by the sacrifice of his only Son. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2 Cor. 9:15
