Most of us have flashbacks from time to time and wish we could go back and make better choices, and more informed and thought out decisions. If that never happened in your life, I am happy for you! You are very unique and there is probably not another on earth like you! But sometimes its as if my breath catches in my throat and I cant believe some of the dumb and stupid things that I allowed to happen in my life in maybe just a moment of losing focus and letting my guard down. But I do know this; Phil 3:13 says, Forgetting those things which are behind (and praise God they are!) and reaching forth to those things which are before (awesome things, good things, glorious things the Father has in His plan.) I press ( pursue like a runner whose eyes are on the prize) toward the mark ( finish line!) of the prize of the high calling of God ( as a divine invitation to a heavenly love feast! ) To move forward, we must not look backward. As my precious daddy so often said, You cannot plow a straight line looking behind you. We can rip off the the rearview mirror on this journey, we are not going back there. All weve ever hoped and longed for is ahead for us. You may feel like a washed up failure, and yes in our frailty we do fail. We have all sinned and come short of Gods glory. But I will tell you confidently, without being afraid to say it, that God never made a uh-oh! If you are living and breathing, He has a plan for your life, and He did not come up with it as an afterthought. His plan is glorious, its Divine and no one can fill it but you. You are so important to God that He looked upon you from the gleaming glories of the Heaven of heavens and declared, That is to die for!
