Most of you know I work as a TA in special education after years of free-lance art and writing. I spent most of last year working through an alternative certification program to get certified to teach special education in Texas. I worked my butt off and took 3 state exams in less than 6 months. I also have had a great reputation with my district as a hard worker and skilled with behavior kids. I interviewed at the school I work and love; the competition was tough with younger candidates.. But I got the job!!!! Ill be a real teacher in the fall. This summer has been stressful and difficult for several reasons, but I finally got a break to get excited and share! Thanks again to Darryn for posting the inspirational stuff I needed to get over test anxiety, and Cat for being there and kicking my butt all the way. And thanks to all of you nutty FB friends for making me laugh along the way.
