Most of you know me as a good person. I give a ear if you need someone to listen to, I take my time to be friendly and care. I care very deeply. I judge by character, not by color. I speak my mind as well when it comes to issues. I do not mean to offend, nor do I wish to be offended. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I speak my mind if something bothers me. I am a moderate Democrat. I cannot stand stereotyping, generalizations, or racism. I try to understand both sides of an issue. I am against violence. I am against extremism. I do not support the violence against cops. I do not like Al Sharpton, but I am intelligent enough to know that he did not tell nor make certain people do the violence: they have minds, they have choices, they chose to do something because they wanted to, not because anyone told them to. Only hatred, evil, and insanity would be the fuel you used to kill those cops. I also think Eric Garner did not have to die. I am sickened by all this violence. Having said that, we need to start coming to a solution. I support peaceful protests. I support our police officers and feel for all the good ones who do their jobs and are in harm every day, just as I support our troops. I support harmony and understanding. I have cops in my family. Some may be angry and not wish to be associated with me or not talk to me because of what I say, and they may even unfriend me because of my beliefs. If they do, so be it. My heart hurts, but it heals. I have often been accused of bending over backwards for others, not expressing myself, and saying sorry way too much because I either feel guilty or am afraid of what they think of me or being afraid they will go away. I cannot keep being afraid. If you care for me, you respect me. You understand who I am and where I come from, my lineage, my background, and why I believe what I believe. Those that love and care for me, or who are my friends, will still be here. If they are not, then I understand, and I will move on and never look back again.
