Most of you know that aside from Zumba® I have a full time job working with middle school students who have social/emotional issues...what worries me the most about Robin Williams death, is that kids are going to see this man who had everything in life on the outside, but dealt with depression, addictions, and other mental illnesses on the inside (like some kids) and he couldnt handle it, and took his life. So, now imagine a kid, who thinks that his/her life sucks, is bullied, an outcast, thinks that everyone hates them, and sees that someone with EVERYTHING took their life... What about them? I am nothing now, BUT I take my life and everybody will talk about me like Im the best, the nicest, the coolest, and I will be famous. Granted Robin Williams was all those things, but he couldnt handle the depression demon w/ all at his fingertips to do so, so now how do we expect our kids to? Mental Illness is REAL people! More & more kids are showing signs at earlier ages and not given coping skills, or parents dont address the issue:( I am afraid of what is to come, and I hope & pray to whatever God I need to, to make sure this doesnt start a ripple effect:( keep your eyes and ears open people! Someone you love might just be trying to tell you something ❤️
