Most of you know that my only child is gay. I knew he was gay from the time he was about 3 years old but I prayed that was not the case. After years of struggling with this, God let me know that it was OK, that Johns walk was not my walk and to let it go because John was OK with Him. This is not an attempt to change anyones mind. It is an attempt to keep young people from taking their own lives because they are gay. It happened this week to a friend from years past. I pray that all of you gay people can come out of the closet with dignity and your heads held high. If the people of my hometown just knew how many of their children came into my shop when they were thinking about taking their own life, you would be shocked. They said they were led to come in my shop and I listened to them. I just listened and didnt say much. What they shared with me will go with me to my death unspoken. They chose to live and some of their parents chose to accept them being gay. Some did not but the ones that did knew that God had given them a very special gift, one to raise and love. No need to comment one way or the other. This is not a debate !!! This is an interesting read.
