Most of you probably figured this out, but I flew up to be with mom and dad on Monday afternoon as mom continues to decline. Thank you for your prayers and positive energy, but I am sad to report that their trip on Friday is not going to happen. My heart told me to get here and I feel like I am right where I need to be at this time. Yesterday was a VERY special day. My Aunt Ellen made a great goulash and brought that and donuts and mom is STILL talking about their visit and how "nice it was she came to see them." Thank you, Aunt Ellen! Then Lindsey arranged for our family minister to come out and we prayed and had communion. Mom is again STILL talking about that! Then Wade and I figured out the Skype thing and she got to see "her girls" and just cried when I think she finally realized the trip was not going to happen. Can I just say this is the most difficult position I have ever had as a Nurse? Appreciate your continued prayers as we can only take things one day at a time. Only mom and God know the big plan and the rest of us are only along for the ride. Will keep you posted.
