Most often I discuss with my Muslim friends about Jihad and terrorism in the name of Islam. All say, Terrorism has no place whatsoever in Islam. It is not acceptable or justifiable under any circumstances. I too believe, no religion in our society preaches for terrorism. How can killings of innocent people find place in Islam when the holy Quran clearly says that killing of one innocent human being is equal to killing of the entire human race. There is a strong need that all Mullahs,Moulvis, clerics, Imams leading prayers in mosque, teachers in Madarsas, orators, intellectuals, leaders in any field shall continue to condemn the terrorism in one voice irrespective of their differences in caste, creed or section. I humbly want to put a few questions before my Muslim friends against which I am earnestly searching the answers : (1) Islam is a religion of peace. Fair enough! But what is the reason that mostly people from Muslim community are involved such anti-humanity activities world wide? If Islam is the trigger, which is not as you said, then what is there in common between these people from Muslim community that they are feeling outraged and opting for violence? Why people from no other religion of the world are opting for such Jihad? (2) What you have done in the above piece is trying to disassociate the wrong-doers of the community from the ideas of Islam. Fine! But you have not ventured into the reasons why a large number of people from your community is opting for violence. You must ask this question...why something called Islamic Terrorism is there...even if it is termed wrongly.....why there is not something called Christian Jihad or Hindu Jihadi or something like that? (3) Why all the important religious bodies and the religious leaders in Islamic countries are not denouncing persons who indulge in act of terrorism in the name of Islam ? (4) Why Rich Islamic countries are not leading the fight against such persons who are financing and helping terrorism ? For few people whole religion has been looked differently.
