Most people I know are not great at conflict. In fact, most say that they avoid it if at all possible. I guess side-stepping wars is a pretty noble thing. But in truth, Ive always been skilled at waging wars. For some reason God put that ability and temperament in me. I can live with a very high amount of turmoil and uncertainty. Being hated and attacked only works to invigorate my senses and inspire my vision. I learned early on in my life that I didnt rattle very easy. When other kids spoke about monsters under their beds ... I secretly knew that I WAS the thing that went bump in the night. I knew I was not normal. I guess Id have to say Its been a helpful gift to have when used in Gods service. However, sometimes... mostly late at night... I secretly wish God had given me a different skill set. Skills that involved more peace and rest. But God has built me for war... And so war is the place He requires me to live.
