Most people have seen the movie Red Dawn... Now for a moment imagine the scenario actually taking place and we are unable to defeat the overwhelming strength of the foreign invaders. With our government and our way of life destroyed, our most fertile and desirable lands are taken from us. Our houses and infrastructure are demolished and become the place where the occupiers build their new homes. Giant walls are erected in order to protect the occupiers from us because we dont just give in and give up the land which was stolen from us. Check points are everywhere and prevent us from freely moving throughout the area. Food becomes harder to obtain because our fields where our families have farmed for generations now belong to someone else or the check points make it almost impossible to get to. Some of our people fight back by any means they can. Children throw stones at the trucks, tanks, and bulldozers which only bring devastating destruction to what little we have left, only to be fired upon or detained or worse... Protesting the occupation does little to help our situation and it see the most of the outside world sides with the occupiers. Our people are desperate for a normal life and believe retaliation through violence is their only option left so they resort to blowing themselves up in the middle of a crowded place or firing rockets where innocent children and civilians die and suffer tremendously. This goes on for 40 years and somewhere the facts are lost, distorted, and rearranged. Future generations believe that the conflict has always been there and so they continue to ignore our suffering.
