Most publishers have cut their budgets for advertising. This places the burden on authors. For that reason, many authors now promote their work on social media, including Facebook. It disturbs me to promote my own work, but I do want my published thoughts read. The novel, “The Hidden Congregation; A Reverend Christie Mystery,” is more that a mystery novel. It contains sermons by Reverend Christie which really express my own thoughts and values, not just fiction to fit a plot. My capable agent, Jeanie Loiacono, has the sequel, “Patients in Purgatory; A Reverend Christie Mystery.” This one expresses the poor nursing home oversight by many states. As a result, patient abuse goes unchecked. This is a subject I will frequently focus upon. My agent also has my novel, “The Care TAKERS, An Insider’s Story.” This is based upon my experiences in hospital administration. I did manage to get one nursing home in Philadelphia closed because of patient neglect and abuse. Much much more needs to be done. Helpless people are suffering daily . . . right now. They feel abandoned. They lay in soiled beds for days, dehydrated and covered with bed sores. I’ll keep posting my books and some by other people.
