Most upcoming artists in Zambia today are in a hurry to become famous and to make money ~ 1. You need exposure, patience and sacrifice. I know how painful it is to be in the background but thats how it goes so youve got to experience it, no sweet no sweat. 2. Dont expect established artists, show organizers and media to pay you when they invite you for their events, they are simply promoting you to the public. Once you have a name, you will make your money. 3. And please dont release a new song every week or month, give people chance to exhaust one song before you release another one. This issue of releasing new songs everyday is killing a lot of established artists too, dont panic if your song is not hitting, a good song is a good song. Desperation makes you pay to be promoted but talent makes promoters & other stakeholders willing to promote you even out of passion. 4. Lastly, when you make it, please dont forget the people who helped you because if you cut them you have cut a blessing. Make money and remember to invest so that when the time comes when you cant sing anymore you can still live a comfortable life and perhaps become a professional consultant to the next generation of artists and producers.
