Mother In Law update She is a hoot! She is healing from her fall nicely! She still cant walk and would guess she never will walk again, however this is mother in law we are talking about and she just is amazing. So who knows she might be running marathons next year! You can understand her most of the time now, so she is better from her stroke not as mush mouthed as at first! She is holding fluid, she went from 90 to 100 pounds and she isnt eating much, so fluid is hiding in there somewhere! Definitely some heart things going on! But shes just doing so well considering! Other day I was making her brush her teeth and it made her mad, so she was really grouchy. I told her... Listen up sister if you dont stop being grouchy, Im getting a new mother in law.... She looked up and just that fast...says, well Im getting a new daughter in law then. OMG I though mike was gonna fall in the floor laughing! She still has her great sense of humor buried inside that head of hers and it just cracks us up when it comes out! Love this lady so much! We are going to bring her home again after New Years. We know she will eventually break something again, but she will do that no matter where she is, here, hospital or nursing home as she has fallen and got hurt at all three! So we just figure its a hazard of living with Alzheimers at that age and just cherish any minute we have with her! She is swallowing again and starting to eat again...only thing is ..of course she likes her cookies and goodies hahahaha. Keep her in your prayers she is a doll!
