Mothers’ concerns that lead them to stop breastfeeding earlier than the recommended time may be related to their expectations of how infants are supposed to behave. After generations of bottle-feeding, many families have lost the ability to pass along the wisdom and knowledge of how a normal, breastfed infant behaves. Its true that some mothers truly do not make enough milk; we are not discounting that at all. However, it is important to explore all possibilities and make sure it isnt our own fears, concerns and worries that are Booby-Trapping us!
