Mothers Day was interesting - and actually very special - spent with the Godbold family matriarch and clan from Leicester. In my two local pubs when I lived with Ronnie (Crown Buxhall & Chestnut Horse, Finborough) and back at his family home Laughter and tears, as at any family gathering. LAUGHTER & LOVE outweighed everything else. infamous quotes = my elbow REALLY hurts, does it mean Ive got trapped wind - ellie , still v. hungover, as she was driving round a roundabout at 11 in the morning small boys observation on our table seating arrangements at lunch women all one side look at all those Mothers, hmmm J, if my brother who is a biker said that, it means something different, dont say that to the Bigger Boys will you! , I said Rons Mum (Kath Godbold) age 91 doing her usual acrobatics playing hide and seek under the table with little ones, and tag in the pub. Then showing how she can STILL bend over and put her hands flat on the floor ffs (91 !!!) saying , oh that was a bit unsteady - nearly landed on me nose, it must be the two glasses of wine Ive just drunk! ... the williamson spritely genes :)
