Motivated by the presentation made yesterday by comrade Bongani Masuku, the exiled former leader of Swayoco, at the SALO seminer on the so called Swaziland elections, I feel like echoing his words that indeed it was very wrong for the royal family to institunalise itself into the politics and culture of the Swazi society, thus rendering every one any any one who challenges matters of politics is seen to be unswazi, anti-mornachy, and labelled with all sorts of unpallatable statements. U till the royal family gets out of the swazi politics and open up space for political parties to play their role of debating policies and national developmental issues, including social and economic issues, the struggle shall continue. These tinkundla elections are nothing but a window dressing to the world, a scarecrow, (sitsingitsingi), a useless, dead human figure used to scare away birds from consuming emabele maize in the fields. A system of electing rubber stamps for the secreet and faceless and not elected labadzala who call the shorts from the closet.
