Motivation Monday: “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” ―Albert Einstein How can I put this…………… Well, I don’t think that we get smarter as we get older………Why do I say that, when I say things like, “every day is a new opportunity”, “it’s never too late”, etc…. Simple answer….. We absolutely continue to do the same things………expect different results…..and complain about where we are in multiple, if not all aspects of life! I guess by now, you are wondering why I chose this Albert Einstein quote since most of my network are on the better side of 28 yrs. old…….. Well here it is!!! I chose this quote because I truly believe that through “All” of the life we’ve lived, “All” of the failures and let downs, “All” of the hurts, pain, and “Reality checks” that we have forgotten THE most important thing in life……..”Believing in the things we cannot see”!!!! We wonder why our children grow up so fast……….Why the luster of the upcoming Holiday Season or the ones that have already past, just don’t quite seem the same as they were when we were kids. Why, it seems as if there is no way for us to change our lives the way they are. It boils down to the fact that we think we have become too grown to believe in “Fairytales” or a “Dream” where anything is possible!! We have become prisoners of our own minds and therefore limited to suffer in the realities we began to call our unhappiness!! One of the habits of people who have changed the world is “Trying New Things!” Which means PEOPLE, JOBS, PROJECTS, OPPORTUNITIES. See what sticks….It’s not like what you have been doing has “paid off”! Without experiments, we’ll never learn anything , without learning, we’ll get nowhere……… Our comfort zone is all “Reality” and no “Dream”, hence no change, following that…..little happiness Here is the definition of a “Fairytale”- a story in which improbable events lead to a happy ending Here is the definition of a “Dream” - something that fully satisfies a wish Simply put…..If we rob ourselves and those around us of these essential qualities of success, we have accepted and will perpetuate the status quo!
