Motivational Monday- 3/10/14 Gods power belongs to you when you trust Him. If God be for you, who can be against you? ________________________ 1 Thessalonians 5:17 gives us one of the simplest, yet most powerful commands in the entire Bible: Pray without ceasing. It doesnt get any more simple than that. Yet, there arent many statements in the Bible that will have a more profound impact on the life of a believer if it is truly taken to heart. One that prays without ceasing keeps a continual line of communication open with God. Its not necessary to kneel or lay prostrate before God all day in order to pray without ceasing. Its only necessary to keep your heart and ears open and attentive to God throughout your day; because prayer is more than talking, its also listening. Praying without ceasing will help you to maintain a lowly position before God because prayer is one of the most humbling activities we can engage in. In our times of prayer, we let God know that we need Him. We reinforce--in our own minds--that He is indeed the Lord of our lives. To pray without ceasing is to allow God to order your steps. The one who prays without ceasing doesnt make decisions without communing with God to find out which decision is the best decision.
