MotoGP Round 14 Report Both Repsol Honda Riders Show Brave Race in Aragon After an almost perfect weekend, with Marc and Dani super fast and starting from 1-2 on the grid, are you disappointed with the final result? Today was a very, very difficult situation, and when it is like this, anything can happen. Unfortunately both Marc and Dani took the risk to finish the race without changing tyres but… clearly this was the wrong choice. Easy to say after anyway! Is the decision to come into the pits solely on the rider, or can you communicate to them on the pit board? We can communicate but we always leave the riders free to take their own decision in these circumstances. They are on track and they know better than anybody else how they feel and the condition of the tarmac. It seems that the back of the track was really dry, especially in the braking point. Is this why neither Marc or Dani came in? For sure until they crashed the situation was not clear, and the lap times they were doing were not too slow. This is why they both thought it was possible to keep going. In the last minutes the rain was more heavy and then it became clear, but in that moment things changed very quickly. Both riders showed their experience by remounting their bikes and getting back to finish the GP, take points, even if in 13th and 14th.. This is something unbelievable! I don’t think this has ever happened, where both riders crash but still take points! Marc still has a healthy lead in the Championship, can he maintain his composure to clinch it in Japan? Sounds strange but nevertheless what happened, Marc increased by one point his lead… so let’s go to Japan and see what happens!
