Please note that we can always customize to suit your every need: Discover the North of Viet Nam for 11 Days : 1st day: hanoi - Mai Chau ( App: 140 Km) Leave Hanoi around 7h30am, drive to Mai Chau, an area of beautiful landscape and home to the Thai ethnic minority. We will drive on road No6 passing expansive rice paddies and scenic villages. We will have a stop for refreshment before tackling 70km of undulating road with great view of mountains and valley. We will reach Mai Chau at late noontime. Visit Pom Coong, a peaceful village of White Thai ethnic minority where we have lunch, dinner and spend our night in a traditional stilt-house of a Thai family. After lunch we will have a short rest and then take a leisure push bike trips toward Ma River. We will take a short boat ride upstream Ma Rive to reach a remote Thai Village. Relax and have interesting conversations with the villagers before we walk back to the dock. Return to Pom Coong Village for dinner and overnight. 2nd day : Mai Chau - Son La ( 170Km ) Breakfast at the home-stay before we embark on a beautiful drive up north to Son La. The road is in good condition and the scenery is stunning. We may take frequent stops to visit minority villages of H’mong, Black Thai,… or to take photos. Lunch will be in local restaurant en route. The highlight of our trip today could be the tea plantations in Moc Chau Plateau, where you find the best green tea in Vietnam grown along the roads on hillsides. We reach Son La in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Son La. 3rd day : Son La - Dien Bien ( 157Km ) It is true to say “the further you go up north the faster your heart rate”. Today the drive is greater with more winding road, longer passes, more colorful minority groups and more stunning scenery. Like yesterday, we may have interesting stops to visit villages and take photos. Lunch en route in local restaurant. The highlight of today ride could be the impressive pass of Pha Din pass, the longest pass in Vietnam with total length is approximately up to 32 km. Climbing and descending the slopes with their many bends and deep gorges is a really an unforgettable experience. We reach Dien Bien Phu in the afternoon around 4pm. Upon arrival we stroll around to explore the town. Dinner and overnight in Dien Bien Phu. 4th day : Dien Bien - Sa Pa ( 288Km ) After breakfast we will start our 225 km drive along stunning gorges and Nam Na River. On the way we will have interesting stops to visit H’mong and Dzao villages. Lunch in Lai Chau. Then we continue going to Sapa The drive day is the highlight of the whole trip. Climbing the highest pass in Vietnam, the Tram Ton Pass, 2000 meters above sea level. We will reach Sapa in the afternoon time. Sapa is the former hill station for the French colonists hundred years ago. Today Sapa is the paradise for trekking lovers thank to its beautiful trekking routes, stunning terraces, colorful minority groups and the highest mountain in Indochina, the Mt. Fansipan. Dinner and overnight in Sapa. Note: The weekend market (Sunday market) in Tam Duong is very interesting with lots of colorful ethnic minorities. If this day is Sunday the market will be included in the program and we would reach Sapa around 3pm. 5th day : In Sa Pa After a goodnight sleep,we have breakfast in Ta Van and start visit to some villages : Ta Van, Lao Chai and Cat Cat. Then we have lunch in Sa Pa After lunch we will visit Ham Rong mountain and visit Sa Pa town. After that we will sleep at Hotel in Sa Pa. You we enjoy in there. 6th day : Sa Pa - Lao Cai ( via China border gate ) - Ha Giang ( App: 255Km ) Today we will Ride all day to go to Ha Giang city . Along the way we can encounter the ethnic people: Nung, Tay, Red Dzao, La Chi, Co Lao and some tribe stay on the hill, groups who have settled in the area. well lunch on the way Continue ride to Ha Giang with stop to visit Tay hill tribe’s village and enjoy beautiful scene of rivers, forests and mountain of Northeast Vietnam. Check in hotel. Dinner and overnight in Ha Giang. 7th day: Ha Giang - Dong Van - Meo Vac ( App: 180Km ) “For the local inhabitants, Dong Van karst plateau, with up to 60% of limestone exposures, is not only mighty scenary but also their cradle of life endowed to them from earth and heaven” Dong Van karst plateau Geopark (to include Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van - Meo Vac, 4 mountainous districts of Ha Giang Province) was recognised as the first global geopark of Vietnam since October 3rd, 2010 - make it a-must-visit place once in the life time. After breakfast at hotel, we head north our of Ha Giang via Quan Ba Heaven Gate. We go around the Na Khoang village before to Yen Minh town for lunch. After lunch time we continue with visit to Vuong Dynasty art architecture relics - a former palace of Meo people, and Sa Phin village. Followed by visit to Lung Cu flag tower - the northernmost tip of Vietnam. Then we go around the town to visit Dong Van ancient town and Dong Van market (opens only on Sunday) and visit 2 village of H’mong and Lo Lo hill tribes. Ride to Meo Vac - which is inhabited mostly by the H’mong, Lo Lo and Pu Peo ethnic minority people who Here, they still retain traditions and their cultural identities through the centuries. Stop on the way at the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass at an altitude of over 2000 meters to admire the scenery typical of the region Ma Pi Leng is one of the clusters of karst cones and continuous cliffs, which constitute an unmatched landscape, Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac town. 8 th day: Meo Vac - Cao Bang ( App 213Km) We will depart Meo Vac for Cao Bang. On the way, we are crossing small villages of local hill tribes of Tay, Nung, Hmong, Dao, they are handicrafts and cultures villages, meeting the daily life in the wild environment. Lunch en route at local restaurant. Arrive in Cao Bang in the afternoon, Good dinner and overnight in here 9 th Day: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Cao Bang ( App: 192 Km ) Drive to Ban Gioc Waterfall - which shares the river border withChina via Trung Kanh with stop to visit handmade water reeling system of Nung tribe which help to bring water from the stream to the rice fields. Arrive Ban Gioc Waterfall, take a boat trip to the waterfall, where you will meet visitors from China, who also come here to enjoy the atmosphere of the famous waterfall on the same river. On the way back to Cao Bang, take short trek to visit Nguom Nao ca ve, a big and yet unexplored cave with extraordinary natural stalactites and stalagmites. Then well come back to Cao Bang, dinner and overnight overnight in Cao Bang 10 th day : Cao Bang - Ba Be ( 150Km ) Breakfast ; Start at 8am go to Ba Be. On the way we will visit some different life of minority people (Tay, Nung, Da, San Chay,...) . Lunch en route at local restaurant. Arrive in Ba Be. we take a boat cruise down the Nang River which is the main water source of the lake, enjoy the tranquil of the nature and bio - diversity at Ba Be National Park on the way to visit Ouong cave, Dau Dang Waterfalls and An Ma Island. Then we will find the best place for swimming or take an easy hike to meet Ethnic people living along the lake. Return to Pac Ngoi village in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in homestay 11 th Day : Ba Be - Ha Noi ( 200Km ) Leave Ba Be for Hanoi with stop at Thai Nguyen, known as “the tea kingdom of Vietnam” to visit The Museum of Ethnology and to enjoy fresh green tea. Arrive Hanoi in the late afternoon.
