Motorcycle racing powers my soul! A man named Lindsay Fox started as a truck driver, his teachers asked him to leave at school at 16 because he didn’t have an academic interest. In 1956 he started as an owner / operator driving a truck. In 57 years of business he has fallen and picked himself up several times, learning each time, never giving up. Linfox is now a billion dollar enterprise. He was 16, out of school, brought 1 truck valued at under $5,000 and in 57 years became a billionaire. Point is – just do what you do, when others don’t believe, when others try to knock you down, when others remain negative remember one thing! If you believe you can make a difference, then you will make a difference. The 2013 Australian Supercross Championship has another new outside sponsor – Milwaukee, has maintained its naming rights sponsor – Terex and has a contracted 12 hours of free to air television that will be seen around the world and especially in Australia on SBS, SPEED and online as well as live streaming from not 1 but upwards of 5 – 9 cameras. 18 years ago I was going after a career as a racer, i finished my studies and things didn’t happen as I had hoped, I worked in a petrol station at nights to pay for racing and train during the days. Sure there were some moments of great results, some moments I will never forgot but they weren’t what I had dreamed of, what I had imagined. I also maintained my dream for a better sport, a profiled sport, a sport that was commonly known throughout society. In 2013 we have full grids for Supercross in DARWIN (They said it wasn’t possible), we have ads in ZOO Magazine, State News Papers, we have front cover stories, have been seen on Chanel 9, the ABC – guess what? The gates have not even dropped yet for the first round. I am not being egotistical, believe me i am not, I generally remain quiet and private and let what I do, do the talking, even though there are many rumours that rear their ugly head, however I needed to let everyone know how proud I am to be the promoter of supercross and superbikes and how much I care! Full Grids, Huge travel and entry subsidies, privateer only prize money, TV and above all – I care more than any one of you could imagine. My soul is enriched with that single happiness I know most you get from experiencing the sport as a fan, a sponsor and a rider – International Entertainment Group brings supercross and superbikes to people – its where motorcycle fans are born in this country. I am not perfect, but I try, I have a vision and I want more for those that matter most - the riders who risk it all.
