Motorcycle ride to Heaven When you are riding with friends, the journey is always good, stopping at a set destination or just stopping to enjoy the scenery with good friends. Most times we set a time and place to meet and for the most part most of us are there waiting on the stragglers, some coming in at the very Last moment. We would be all lined up motors running everything set for the ride, and low and behold some times even half an hour late another friend would show up, good thing we waited. Then off we would go together feeling complete, for we had not left any of our friends behind. Looking back in the rear view mirror seeing all are good friend riding to one or two of are favorite spots. We would always pray to the Lord for a safe and fun trip and that was what the Lord always delivered. Much like when we go to church where are good friends are, for after all we are headed for the same destination. Some of us are all prayed up charged up and ready for service to start. Others come in right at the Last minute. They know when we are supposed to start but seems they dont have the real drive most of us do to get there on time, never the less they are still there for the same thing , fellowship worship and the trip to Heaven. I remember one time in particular, God had spoken to me while I was still at work. He told me he was going to pour out a blessing in the church, and he wanted me to be sure to be there for it. I remember being excited the rest of the day, keep checking my watch waiting for time to quite work, so I could get to church, finally the time came I got ready for church always tried to get there early so I could pray to the Lord for a blessing on the church. However on the way my tire went flat, I had a pickup truck this was in 1981, Wouldnt you know it the jack was too short to reach the frame, to jack the wheel off the ground. However I had put a converter under my hood when I bought the truck in 1978. I whipped out a saw and cut some 2x4s I had in the back and jacked the wheel off the ground, It was getting dark when I got the wheel off, as I checked the time it was almost time for church, with out really thinking I said Lord I dont want to miss church service tonight for I know it will be great, Lord I ask you hols the service till I get there. It was so dark by then, I could not find the lug nuts search all around in the dark with my hand but no luck. Lord I said send me a light ,even before I had completely gotten it out of my mouth there was a bright light right at my shoulder, I tried looking for who was holding the light but could see nothing but the light, I said how did you know I needed a light and the response was I just knew you would. Of course from there I could easily see the lug nut and soon was finished, before the light disappeared, he asked me if there was anything else he could do for me while he was there and I said no? It was nearly half and hour past time for service as I opened the doors to the sanctuary, The Pastor was passing back and forth and praying, the instant I walk through the doors he said now we can start the service. Words can not tell you how powerful it was that night for it was beyond Awesome. Many of us now are ready for the Lord to call us home , yet he is waiting for that last one to call and make it in , for does not want to leave any behind. Come for we know not what hour he will shut the door and take us Home. “COME WE DONT WANT YOU TO MISS THE RIDE TO HEAVEN” Let us pray, Father we come to you today for all who will come at the first call, yet you have already called many, we ask that a little more time give for the unsaved to join our ride, that none who will, would be left behind, Lord help us by opening the blinded eyes, that they will accept your call and seek out one to lead them to the salvation of the kingdom of Heaven, Lord stir those who already have their salvation that they not be found luke warm in Jesus name
