I Want To Go Back There Again – Chris Clark (1968) Mmm, Chris Clark, one of Motown’s most interesting, albeit scarcely known, performers. ‘Love’s Gone Bad’ is my only recollection of hers from my youth, and while I don’t think I consciously thought about it, I most certainly would have bet my then entire life savings (even less then than now) that she was black! There’s an interesting story surrounding her first US TV appearance when the entire studio and household audience paused in amazement when out stepped a six foot tall, white, platinum blonde with a striking figure. How could this be?!?
