Mourinho Pre game Conference (Spurs) Jose Mourinho: Its a big game, a London derby against one of the top teams in the league. Its a difficult team we have to play against and thats the only thing you have to think. Were ready for it. I dont think it [Chelseas record against Spurs] is important. I dont speak about it with the players. Jose says he needs to go through the list and see who is yet to have a go. He said: I think it is normal and every team does it. Sometimes it is always the manager that does it, other times players and other members of staff. Its just a couple of words. We speak tactically two days before. I speak so much and we know so much about the opposition that in that moment it is just a comfort, a motivational couple of words. Mourinho says all the players are different and some speak English better than others but even that isnt very important. The Chelsea manager doesnt want to speak about John Terrys contract talks. He says however that the board knows how he feels about the player. I think thats a big hint that Jose wants to keep him for at least another year. He refuses to speak about Terrys good friend and former team-mate Frank Lampard. He also reports there have been no offers yet for Petr Cech as the January transfer window looms. He says the easiest way for people in football to deal with the Christmas fixtures is think what they are giving to the people.
