Mourning into Dancing... Its been tough the past days as we face challenges left and right. No one could be fully prepared when such occasions rise simultaneously. I bow down my head each and every praying opportunity pleading God to strengthen, empower and fill us with His wisdom, peace and understanding. I look back and see Gods goodness as we triumph each and every challenge. I covet all of Gods promises i so dearly keep in my mind and my heart. I personalize all prayers in the book of Psalms every devotion opportunity. Typhoon Mario may be strong and has caused Cainta, (our place) to be under State of Calamity but God preserved our home and car and used our kind neighbors to take care of our belongings and clean everything while we were out. The morning of Friday, we made our exodus from our village to San Juan for our safety but we were prevented by the flood water to reach a safer ground and we ended up stranded in the clubhouse. A family just across the clubhouse saw us and invited us to temporarily stay with them. They helped us park our car in their garage and gave all we need - food, clothes(we were soaking wet because of the heavy rain) and even a place to sleep. The water went really deep that we had to go up and stay at the house terrace, there i got countless calls from family and friends asking for update. More than us being safe, its the thought of my sick nephew in the hospital and a wedding the next day fills my mind. We rushed Archie to the hospital the night before Mario after seeing his ill condition. It started with a headache which later on gave him fever, vomiting and Photophobia. He was brought to the hospital twice where series of tests were performed but even ct scan result showed negative findings of anything and therefore was he advised to go home. The 3rd time we insisted he be confined after no improvement became visible. My sister assured me that everything is fine and that all i have to do is attend on my own family and find way to get out of the village so i could attend on my clients wedding. The Lord used a team of courageous and dedicated ladies to come ahead of me and take care of our couple and their needs(yes, some of them braved the flood as well) while i pray and wait for opportunity to be rescued. Suddenly, about 3 Tawi kids came with a bangka and rescued us. We went straight to the clinic (which is also flooded) where i prepared for the wedding. The Lord sent the perfect Taxi for me and my time of arrival in the church, (my bride was about to make her walk) was just perfect. Everything went smoothly until the end. I was surprised to see my husband fetching us in the clinic to the house. Inabot si Nissie (referring to the car) but praise God hindi ang makina o gas nya kaya umandar ulit. Uwi na tayo sa bahay, nalinis na ng kapitbahay ang bahay. Puede na kayong magpahinga dun. We could only utter three words - Thank You, Lord. God is always there to give us that blessed assurance during challenging times. My father called me up. Thank You, Lord. To YOU be all the glory and praise. Have a great Monday, beautifuls!
